Exosomes are the signalling messengers from stem cells and have a whole host of potential benefits and applications, especially for skin health and reversing the signs of ageing. In fact, all aspects of skin health improve with exosome therapy.

Dr Ward has carefully selected the brands of exosomes that she works with. They all come with a formidable library of clinical studies and trials proving efficacy. Human-sourced exosomes do not currently comply with EU regulations so only plant based and bio-identical exosomes can be used in the UK at present.

Dr Ward only uses brands of exosomes fully regulated for cosmetic use (CE marked) that have a significant weight of clinical evidence to support their efficacy.

Exosomes are generally applied to the skin after micro-needling so they penetrate into the superficial layers of the skin. The exosomes then begin to promote the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. They stimulate stem cells spread throughout the skin to communicate with and nourish the surrounding cells. Exosomes do not mask the signs of ageing but actually promote the regeneration of healthy new skin cells.

The growth factors in the exosomes stimulate the growth of new skin cells, which helps improve the skin’s texture and tone. The result is smoother, firmer, and more radiant-looking skin. They also work to lessen the appearance of scars and stretch marks and to improve follicle health and reduce hair loss from all causes.
