The needle depth can be adjusted by Dr Ward depending on what the treatment outcome or goal is. Most people will find that anything up to 0.5mm is tolerable without any numbing cream. Micro-needling at deeper depths (up to 1-2mm) may require the topical application of numbing cream 30 minutes prior to your treatment.

Your skin will look red and will be a little sensitive to touch for a few hours after your procedure. You may get some very tiny pinpoint bruises that will last only 24-48 hours. You should avoid any makeup or skin creams for at least 12 hours after treatment. Makeup can be worn the next day.
